Introduction: Entrusted with providing components for 14 interactive exhibits installed across the European Union, our team expertly crafted exhibits made of plywood, powder-coated steel legs, and CNC-milled aluminum elements. Showcasing the captivating optical effects of mirrors set at varying angles, the exhibits allow visitors to experience intriguing visual phenomena. The high-precision aluminum components ensure a perfect fit, with the exhibit consisting of 138 elements.
Challenge: Creating perfectly fitting plywood components that intersect at different angles and developing bearing assemblies with CNC-milled aluminum parts, powder-coated in silver. The aluminum components feature various angles to accommodate mirrors and exhibit a high level of precision, ensuring seamless assembly of the many elements.
Solution: Our team of experts utilized advanced CNC milling techniques and precise assembly processes to create the aluminum and plywood components with exceptional quality. We ensured that the aluminum parts were crafted with high precision, allowing for a perfect fit among the 138 components.
Result: The 14 exhibits have been installed in various locations across the European Union, engaging visitors as they interact with the aluminum components and mirrors. Depending on the angle at which the mirrors are set, the face of the person looking into the mirror may not rotate, rotate at the same speed as the mirror is being turned, or rotate twice as fast as the mirror is turned. The exhibit provides a unique, interactive experience for visitors, allowing them to explore the fascinating properties of mirrors and the visual effects they create.
