Mathematical Puzzles

Introduction: Tasked with producing components for an interactive mathematical puzzle exhibit, our team employed CNC milling techniques to create POM elements, HPL laminate-covered plywood surfaces, and steel legs. The POM components feature a knurled texture and are crafted with an unparalleled level of quality, ensuring they are free from even the slightest scratches. This meticulous attention to detail is essential in the museum industry, where visitor interaction is at the forefront of exhibit design.

Challenge: Achieving the exceptional quality demanded by the client, with the easily scratchable POM elements requiring careful handling and flawless finishing. Following the CNC milling process, each detail had to be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap to protect it from damage, a practice not commonly seen in industries other than the museum sector.

Solution: Utilizing state-of-the-art CNC milling technology and precision finishing techniques, our team meticulously crafted the POM elements, ensuring they were free from any imperfections. We took great care in handling and packaging the components to maintain their pristine condition.

Result: Visitors to the exhibit are challenged to solve a series of mathematical puzzles, including arranging numerous triangles within a square, separating interlocked POM elements by twisting them in specific ways to remove a metal ring, constructing a pyramid from cylinders, and completing a range of similar logic-based tasks. The exhibit offers a stimulating and engaging experience for visitors, encouraging them to explore the fascinating world of mathematical puzzles and problem-solving.
